Binding
Pod offers two forms of binding for standard documents - fastback thermal and comb binding, and a third option of saddle-stitching for multiple copies of documents.
Most people choose to add clear plastic front covers and leathergrain back covers to their bound documents, however you may choose any card or paper that we have in stock for your covers.
Remember to remove all staples from any documents that you submit for binding, and please note that documents in poor condition with curled edges and multiple paper types may attract an additional labour charge due to the extra time it takes to bind these documents.
Fastback provides a secure and professional bind. We recommend fastback binding for assignments, theses and for documents that will be carried around in your bag, as Fastback stands up to this sort of wear better than comb binding. Fastback binding is available in a variety of colours – ask our staff to show you the colours available.
Comb binding is a convenient form of binding that allows you to add pages at a later date, and will lie open flat on a desk. We recommend comb binding for lecture notes, study material and any document that may be added to or changed. Only available in black.
Saddle-stitching provides a cost-effective and professional method of binding small booklets or newsletters where multiple copies are required. Up to 20 sheets can be saddle-stitched, which allows you eighty pages for text and covers.
